Known Limitations:

This software requires a Windows Based operating System and a National Instruments, CEC, INES or compatible GPIB card.(Dependant on version. There is one NI version and a CEC/INES version). Windows 95 requires a CEC or INES card because Testpoint and the NI GPIB cards do not communicate in Windows 95.

If you receive GPIB errors and can not communicate with your instruments make certain that the GPIB properties in the testpt.ini file match your system properties in device manager. The default settings for this software are (CEC and INES: I/O=0x2B8, NI: Board = GPIB0)

Additional hardware requirements: Program will operate on a P-120 with 64 MB RAM minimum.

This software support a maximum of four SourceMeters. Models 2400, 2410, 2420, 2430 (DC mode only), 2440, and 6430 are supported.

For SourceMeter hardware specifications check your instrument manual.

For simultaneous data retrieval from multiple SourceMeters TRIGGERLINK cables MUST be used or the system will stall waiting for a response.

Some Graphical Functions are limited. For complicated graph and data manipulation export the data to a spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel using the Save Data button.

Errors will be generated by requesting ranges that the instrument can not provide. Check your manual for programmable voltage and current limitations.

For help on device connection and system configuration refer to the text help file included and the Lab_Tracer_Lab_Note.pdf application note.

This example program is an implementation of a two level curvetracer (one sweeping Source and one stepping Source) that can be used with 2 additional bias sources.

You can access Source code for this program by purchasing Testpoint development software from Keithley Instruments.
